The 2013 LFW Ready-To-Wear collections that really sent my heart aflutter were those combining exotic animal prints and floral textures. Erdem contrasted intricate lace with snakeskin in a collection inspired by the work of Zenna Henderson, one of the first female science fiction writers.
Preen by Thornton Bregazzi showed at London's Natural History Museum, an appropriate setting for their collection which took deep inspiration from the natural. Not dissimilar to Erdem, the design duo showcased a collage of reptilian and floral patchwork, however the lines were edgier. Between the two collections I think we find something for every occasion.
