Hedi Slimane's womenswear debut for the rebranded Saint Laurent at Paris Fashion Week met mixed reviews. When Slimane announced he would be dropping the 'Yves' earlier this year I must admit I was a little distressed. Yet there were many things the designer did right on Monday night, including strong wide brimmed hats that partially obscured the models' faces.
They looked like shadowed film noir anti-heros with a feminine twist.
